Ta Aidan,Yep, seen John's book. One hell of an achievement, on so many fronts. He's on BBC 5 Live this weekend, I believe - I'm on a new local radio station for a Saturday morning 'round-up'. Not exactly comparable, but we had two completely different goals. The book's on Amazon.co.uk or other online book sites, and I have a blog with loads of photos; http://golfcoursesireland.blogspot.com/ covering all my travels, North and South - 349 courses in all. Sounds excellent Kevin. What a great story. Did you travel North and South? Feel free to post a link to your book here (if it is available over the Net). I am sure our members would be interested. Also, any phptos you took along the way would be very appreciated.

We have another author here on TwitRGolfers - John Richardson from Bangor. Actually John's book "Dream On" went to #1 on Amazon (for Golf) which was an amazing achievement - great read by the way if you haven't already got a copy

The book's called Hooked: An Amateur's Guide to the Golf Courses of Ireland. I play at a small course called Greystones, and I always felt aggrieved that none of the golf books had any decent info on what the course was like. The same was true for 200+ others, so I thought I'd put that right. I got in a camper van (without the dog), played all the 18-hole courses and tried to explain what the golf experience is like - what's good and what's bad.

I've been blogging about golf for a while - specifically Irish golf - so great to find a dedicated golf community. I'll start tweeting too as I've just had a book published.
