I don't know about you, but I've had a gut full of this media feeding frenzy on Tiger Woods. Yes he screwed up. Yes, it is ugly. But what is the point in crucifying the guy?...oh yes, I forgot, ad revenues are down the toilet in the big wide media world and we need a few juicy headlines to sell this weeks trash mags.
Let's look forward. Let's show Tiger and his family some support and offer the man some encouragement to get back out there and do what he does best.
And just in case we've forgotten:
Looking forward to seeing you win a few majors in 2010 Tiger.
I'd like to offer my support as well. Just because he is the greatest golfer doesn't mean that he knows anything about women. We don't know what it's like in the household. Maybe he picked the wrong girl and she is a witch at home.
Either way, the media just assumes that he is the guilty one and that she is the victim! Ridiculous! If he was happy at home, he may not have strayed in the first place.
Great topic! Hopefully Woods is allowed one indiscretion whether true or not, very few celebrities of his magnitude have stayed "cleaner" than he over the years and he's been a great ambassador for the game. The temptation on the road has to be overwhelming and it's remarkable how little controversy he has caused off of the course. Looking forward to the Masters!
OK, we've been reminded that Tiger is, indeed, human...
Now, it's time to get back on track by remembering why we appreciate Tiger Woods - his personal accomplishments, what he's done for the game of golf and how many people he has inspired.
I've never understood why it is anyone's business anyway. Give the man and his family some privacy. I hope that he can focus on his family and his golf and leave the media circus behind him.
