Tiger is just like us, we all make mistakes like B. Clinton, Borris Becker....the list goes on.
We should give him a break, I am with Nike to support Tiger.

In a competitive match in my early golf days, my opponent commented right before I hit my shot, “That sure is a narrow opening up there between those traps.” Fortunately, I put it on the green in spite of her jab. Not sure why it is so, but women players can be pretty wicked to beginners.
When I decided to take lessons and improve my golf game, I made a specific plan to get my game into shape. I loved to practice. Being at the chipping green at the end of the day and honing my shots was heaven…

It was a tough ball school to get in to - and a tougher one to get out of
Undoubtedly the worst look I’ve ever seen on a golfer’s face came a month or so ago at Bargoed Golf Club. It was a normal friendly, tense, bickering, frustrating, but very entertaining Saturday morning Ball School. There were 4 in our…

Over the years I have learned a lot from the guys I play with.
No, I don’t run off to pee in the trees, nor do I put as much on the line in the money games like they do. But I have had some great times out there being the only girl in the group.
When my now hubby and his best friend invited me out to play in the weekly game, there was only one requirement. They didn’t want it publicized because while one woman was ok, they didn’t want it to become “Couples Day”. I think that was because I take…

I remember the first time I went to the golf course by myself to “pick up a game.”
It felt very weird to walk up to the desk and sign up as a single. I had seen lots of people do it, primarily men. Being paired up with random singles was part of my golf experience. But ME, going out alone without a golf buddy in tow was uncomfortable.
I started by going to the driving range alone. I came to LOVE my solo practice sessions. I love the feeling of a clean golf shot. Some say a shot on the sweet sp…

Yeah Baby!!
One of the reasons I LOVE golf is because it stretches me like nothing else! Ever since the days when I used to whiff, (yikes, what a shock that is!) fear of failure in golf has haunted me. I am a pretty decent player these days (yay!) but deep inside the fear of embarassing myself is still there.
I played golf for 15 years before I actually started to play well. My scores ranged right around 100 for eighteen holes and I LOVED to play! Imagine how fun it was when my scores dropped…

I was out practicing at the driving range the other day with my sweetie. Once again, I was in the minority. It is fun being the only girl around! When I was teaching golf, I had a hard time convincing many of my students to actually practice. They would tell me they always hit a few balls before their round and that was their idea of practice.
Funny, these players never saw much improvement. Serious players, wanting to improve their game are a great group of guys. Here are some of the reasons I…

WooHOOO! Men are showing up to lend support.. But where are all the women and girls to support our Sister Golf Goddesses!!!!!!!
Something interesting is going on. Men are stepping up in a big way to be supportive of this Play4Change in Golf and not one female (the gender the Campaign is for) has shown up.
The main measuring stick for this awareness is with Twitter. Today I will be sending out a #ThankfulThursday once again for men only for all their Retweet Support for the Campaign. This sadde…

“I would say that most great players first become good at getting the ball in the hole, at the short game. They later they refine their full swings.” Dr. Bob Rotella in Golf Is Not A Game Of Perfect
The other side of this that is not being said? “I would say that most of the struggling players out there are not good at getting the ball in the hole, their short game sucks and that they spend ALL their time refining their long game.” Catherine Behan

Do you ever get ahead of yourself by thinking about the
shot after the one you’re about to play? Never get ahead
of yourself, only think about the shot you’re about to play.
You have to stay in the moment, if you start thinking ahead,
you will almost always hit a bad shot. It’s hard enough to
stay focused on the shot at hand. Play one shot at a time.

It never fails. The moment a woman really gets it, the moment she realizes that there are countless opportunities to meet great men in golf, the opportunities for some innocent flirtation and fun pop out of the woodwork. How can you capitalize on all that great opportunity just waiting for you to jump in? It is not as hard as you think.
1. Be Clear About Your Intention: This is a critical first step. If you are serious about meeting a soul mate and something in you is pulling you toward golf, m…

“How did you meet your soul mate?” is a question I delight to answer. Three out of every four golfers are men. The odds are fantastic and savvy women are getting their cute little selves to the golf course to check it out for themselves.
After playing golf for over thirty years and teaching golf professionally for ten years in Wisconsin, I moved to Southern California and looking for new contacts and friends, I joined the San Diego Single Golfers Association.
I was a bit terrified to join the…

I love to flirt on the golf course.
It feels really good, extra good for some reason, to have a man’s attention and appreciation on the golf course. Even though I am married to my golfer and ADORE my time on the golf course with him, (I am still flirtier with him on the course than anywhere else!) I still enjoy the attention of men who notice my presence on the course.
Did You Know:
